UMMEED – The Social Club of Department of Public Policy and Governance, B.K.School of Professional and Management Studies. The Ummeed-Social club of DPPG is an initiative by the students and a great support of Prof. Nilam Panchal. The Moto of the club is to create awareness to the society, to provide the better environment for the suffering people. We cannot erase the social issues from the society but we can surely try to help them to come up and so that, they can fight back and get all the opportunities that they deserve. We cannot directly provide them a shelter but by providing valuable education we can make them capable that they can build their own shelter. We want to talk about the issues that are suppressed and create more awareness about how we all can come together and help each other so that each and every human being can get his/her rights and also everyone gets equal chance to prove themselves. Everyone is busy in their own life in their own race to rich their goal. In this Competition we forgot about brotherhood that we need to show some attention to people who really need help and bring everyone on the same page of life. So let’s work together in sake of humanity and help everyone so they don't have to suffer for their basic necessity. Let’s spread love and care by sharing things that might not be any use to us but can be very important to someone else.
Webinars: To provide continues learning about the importance of social work, UMMEED will conduct webinars. Here we invite the personalities who are doing the social works and have a great experience about the social work. These webinars are open for all the students who would like to join and learn.
Social Activities: UMMEED believes in practical work with the theoretical knowledge for students. For the same we will conduct some activities in which students have to give their efforts directly or indirectly by providing things like cloths, food and other basic necessities to the one who requires it.
Students Activity: To discuss the topics related to social work we will conduct Debates, Group discussion and so on among the students. With the help of these activities, students can develop their thinking ability as well as they will try to focus more and more on these types of social subjects.
